Your Role & Responsibilities:
We are looking for an experienced professional with a background in Product Management or Sales, to guide the evolution of B&R’s Motion Platform.
In this strategic global role, you will be responsible for the portfolio strategy of a defined segment of the motion portfolio while collaborating closely with other PMs to ensure a cohesive long‑term vision for the entire platform. The role spans strategy, roadmap ownership, lifecycle management, and market positioning — transforming technical innovation into customer value, engaging key stakeholders, and aligning cross‑functional teams to keep B&R in industrial automation.
In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.
The work model for the role is: onsite with 10 home office days a month

Platform Strategy, Roadmap & Monetization: Define and own a multi-year platform roadmap aligned with market trends in AI and machine learning, including pricing, bundling, and strategic positioning to ensure sustainable business performance.

Partnerships & Ecosystem Collaboration: Build, manage, and grow strategic partnerships with global suppliers, technology companies, and collaboration partners to improve the motion platform ecosystem.

Product Lifecycle & Motion Software Strategy: Manage end-to-end product lifecycle management and establish the long-term motion software strategy, ensuring scalability, competitiveness, and customer value.

Go-to-Market & Customer Engagement: Develop compelling technical marketing assets, enable global sales through training and tools, and translate customer insights into actionable input for platform evolution.

What it takes to Run what runs the world

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronic, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation or similar.

Experience: 10+ years in industrial automation and AND 5+ years of product-management or sales.

Deep understanding of servo motion in machinery automation as well as knowledge in AI and ML
-
Business acumen: Skilled in creating business models and pricing strategies for hardware and software-centric industrial solutions.

Communication skills: Able to clearly convey complex tech to diverse audiences; skilled presenter and storyteller.

Collaborative mindset: Effective in cross-functional, global environments; experienced in customer engagement.

Motivation and willingness to travel: Self-motivated, tech and open to ~30% travel.

Languages: Fluent in German and English.

The minimum compensation, in accordance with the electrical and electronics industry collective agreement, is 66.676,26 EUR annual for a full-time position as of May 2025. But we would be happy to speak in person about your compensation package in relation to your qualifications and experience!
