Electrification provides leading electrical distribution and management technologies, solutions and services to electrify the world in a safe, smart and sustainable way. The portfolio includes medium- and low-voltage electrical components, switchgear, digital devices, enclosures, and circuit breakers, among others. As the Managing Director of ABB Academy Saudi Arabia, you will lead all academy functions, ensuring relevance, driving growth, and fostering effective program delivery. You will be responsible for setting and executing the academy's strategy, overseeing operations, and positioning the center as a trusted partner in technical training within Saudi Arabia. This role is pivotal in establishing and growing the new legal entity, ensuring compliance, and building a strong employer and partner ecosystem in the Kingdom.

- Commercial & Portfolio Leadership: Drives commercial strategy, market growth, competitive positioning, and KPI delivery across the assigned geography; oversees full product and solution lifecycle, portfolio roadmap, quality, and P&L performance.
- Operational & Financial Excellence: Optimizes pricing, cost efficiency, sales force productivity, and standardized processes (e.g., Salesforce); leads strategic planning, budgeting, funding models, and ensures full compliance with legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.
- Academy, Programs & Ecosystem Development: Establishes and commissions academy facilities and labs; oversees design and delivery of training programs and the full student journey; builds and manages partnerships with ministries, universities, employers, and ecosystem stakeholders to position the academy as a trusted technical training provider.
- People, Culture & Performance Management: Recruits, develops, and leads high‑performing teams; ensures trainer and program quality; monitors performance and drives continuous improvement while fostering a culture grounded in excellence, inclusion, sustainability, compliance, and integrity.

Qualifications for the Role
- 15+ years of experience in senior operations or HR roles (electronics preferred), or senior management in education/vocational training or human capital development, with experience dealing with chambers, associations, or authorities in education policy.
- Proven track record in training management, training oversight, or large‑scale HR/talent development programs; strong business management skills (PR/marketing is a plus).
- Strategic thinker with analytical approach, persistence, empathy, enjoyment in developing people, complete integrity, and role‑model leadership in compliance and ethical standards.
- Understanding of market and industry trends within electrification and the implications on skills and competencies
- Ability to communicate confidently in English and Arabic; Saudi National preferred.
