Your role and responsibilities

Contributes to improving Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance in their assigned area of responsibility to cultivate a safety-focused culture. Supports the business by applying in-depth HSE &security knowledge and offering solutions and advice. Ensures effective risk management through. HSE excellence along the ABB Motion.
The work model for the role is: onsite

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Facilitates HSE risk assessment conducted by the line management and ensures all necessary preventive measures against the identified hazards are implemented

• Reports HSE incidents to the management and relevant stakeholders and takes appropriate actions

• Facilitates, assists, and provides guidance on incident investigations to learn better ways for mitigating risks

• Provides feedback to the management and employees on lessons learned and best practices from within their own unit and across ABB

• Tracking all HSE‑related legal permits and licenses, ensuring timely renewal, and reporting status updates to the Country HSE Manager

• Supports Business Area PiP and Division Managers in reporting progress with respect to the implementation of the group-level HSE objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), as required

• Assists the line managers and supervisors in understanding their obligations, liabilities, and requirements for role fulfillment, as per local HSE laws and group/business-specific requirements

• Supports and facilitates behavioral change through the local implementation of group-wide and business-specific performance improvement programs and practices

• Supports and embeds an exemplary health and safety culture with a strong emphasis on the environment across country organization

• Ensures that the appropriate HSE-related equipment and tools are available and used effectively

• Contributes to and/or plans and executes HSE-related projects

• Develops project objectives and reports the progress to management

• Qualifications for the role

• Certified HSE Specialist with A class certificate

• At least 5 years of experience in risk management, regulations and compliance, and process improvement and optimization

• Experience in coordinating audits ,ISO14001 & 45001 knowledge, training, and safety programs

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (Operations, HR, Real Estate)

• Experience in risk assessment & mitigation strategies

• Effective stakeholder communication

• Electrical Safety experience is an advantage (in electrical motor and drive system installation, maintenance, and commissioning processes, etc.)

• No obstacle for traveling

• Turkish knowledge

• Upper-intermediate English skills
