Your role and responsibilities

Join us as a Project Engineer for the Electrification Business area where you will be providing and leading the team with professional engineering methodology that ensure comprehensive engineering planning, sound project design, and quality engineering management.

This position reports to the Engineering Manager and based in Singapore.

Your responsibilities:

• Creates an engineering design concept / philosophy definition.
• Acts as a technical lead and approves design deliverables.
• Reviews complete project documents for conformity, safety, cybersecurity, and quality assurance requirements.
• Reviews and adjusts design as necessary, based on design output to meet the contractual obligations.
• Anticipates and solves unprecedented design problems, crucial issues, and/or unique conditions.
• Collaborates on project installation, commissioning, and site activities to clarify potential issues or provide solutions to rectify engineering errors.
• Provides technical support to commissioning and start-up activities.

Qualifications for the role-
Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field

• Min of 5 - 8 years of experience in engineering, lead engineering, or engineering management, ideally for electrification projects, design, review, test and supervise the manufacturer of electrical equipment, such as MV/LV SWGR, Transformer, PMS, Compact Sub Station and e House.

• Experience in e House projects such as coordinate and drive engineering activities and technical clarifications performed by engineering experts from different disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, structural and cooling engineering, by e House fabricators and by suppliers of equipment to be installed into an e House.

• Demonstrated experience in managing engineering activities, vendors/subcontractors as well as engineering processes

• A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following workplace safety guidelines

• A high level of self-motivation and curiosity, and a desire to learn about new technologies

• Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with a collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong, well-developed communication, influencing and coaching skills

• Good written and interpersonal skills
