Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to optimize the Production organization’s assembly methods, processes, and equipment to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs, and safety. Each day, you will ensure appropriate production methods, cycle time, equipment performance, and materials/components in support of production targets. You will also showcase your expertise by defining the working phase sequence of a new production process to achieve the targeted product cost and equipment investment budget.

This role is contributing to the ABB India, Electrification Business Smart Power Division in India. will be based at “Nelamangala - Bangalore – India”.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Develop and implement smart factory and business intelligence solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams to transform innovative ideas into scalable digital solutions.

• Analyze large and complex datasets to extract actionable insights, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making.

• Design and deliver interactive dashboards and automated reports using Power BI, Power Apps, and RPA tools to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.

• Apply practical experience in data cleaning, database management (Share Point/Cloud), AI, and machine learning to automate processes, personalize customer recommendations, and improve operational efficiency.

• Enable manufacturing process optimization and business process improvements by identifying non-value-added activities and implementing data-driven automation solutions while staying updated with emerging digital technologies.

Qualifications for the role:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in data and digitalization.

• Solid proficiency in SQL, Python, or R, along with practical experience in MS Power Apps, Power Platform, and related digital tools.

• Solid background in AI and machine learning technologies with an emphasis on building efficient, reliable, and scalable solutions.

• Experience in database management and administration, including Share Point and cloud-based platforms.

• Familiarity with SAP functions, transactions, and functional knowledge to support business processes.

• Knowledge of Industry 4.0, IoT, and business intelligence tools to support digital transformation initiatives.

• Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to learn and adopt IS compliance and cybersecurity requirements.

• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate in cross-functional team environments; Six Sigma certification.
