Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will perform service work on low and medium voltage switchgear and in accordance with ABB quality and safety guidelines. Each day, you will deliver quality customer service, planning and executing service work as per customer orders and expectations. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring customer retention through clear communication of service timelines and expectations.
The work model for the role is: Hybrid
This role is contributing to the Electrification Service Division in Western Australia and Northern Territory (Metro and regional locations). Main stakeholders include customers, service engineers, sales teams, and technical support teams.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Working with customers on-site to identify opportunities to improve operations and eliminate pain points.
- Performing field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and conducting analysis through remote or on-site activities for certified service categories and products.
- Preparing material lists for service activities and ensuring all materials, parts, and equipment are available and meet quality standards.
- Acting as a trainer when needed for field service associates and customers.
You will join a highly skilled and collaborative team that is deeply committed to delivering exceptional customer outcomes, giving you the support and environment to excel.
Qualifications for the role
- You enjoy working with diagnostic tools, electrical testing equipment, and troubleshooting methodologies within the electrical and industrial automation sector.
- You will have previous experience in working with switchgear, preferably medium voltage. Experience with relays will be highly regarded.
- You have 3–5 years of experience in field service, electrical maintenance, or industrial equipment servicing.
- You are passionate about problem‑solving and clear customer communication, and you bring a proactive, safety‑first mindset.
- You will have an Electrical A Grade license (provisional license holders will also be considered, pending experience)
- You are at ease communicating in English.
- Willingness to travel frequently is a must.
