The Head of Government Affairs, India will lead Zscaler’s public policy strategy and government engagement across India. The focus will be on fostering partnerships with government bodies and critical stakeholders to advance Zscaler’s mission of driving cybersecurity adoption, digital sovereignty, and regulatory compliance. This role will ensure alignment between Zscaler’s objectives and India’s public sector ecosystem while supporting business, product, and compliance initiatives. Reporting to the Government Affairs leadership in the US, you will be responsible for:

• Defining and implementing Zscaler’s government policy agenda and advocacy strategy to support its cybersecurity, regulatory, and market-driven priorities in India

• Representing Zscaler in engagements with senior government officials, regulatory bodies, academia, industry leaders, trade associations, and other influential stakeholders

• Building and maintaining high-impact partnerships that advance Zscaler’s reputation, including collaborations on digital sovereignty, Zero Trust, and AI-powered cybersecurity initiatives

• Collaborating with internal teams (sales, compliance, product, and communications) to align business goals with regulatory frameworks and help shape Zscaler’s market strategy in India

• Overseeing strategic communication efforts to enhance Zscaler’s brand positioning, including coordinating executive engagements, industry representations, and external media interactions

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Economics, Law, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)

• 15+ years of professional experience in government, international organizations, trade associations, or corporate/government affairs roles

• Deep knowledge and experience with India’s government and regulatory processes at a federal and state level

• Proven ability to influence public policy and regulatory initiatives in technology/digital industries

• Outstanding communication and leadership skills, with experience representing organizations at senior forums or public engagements

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Extensive network across government, trade associations, academia, think tanks, and NGOs

• Experience in technology or cybersecurity-related regulatory and policy matters

• Familiarity with Zero Trust, AI-powered cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance frameworks
