Job Description
Position Summary: Plan, order, control, and coordinate production related materials to guarantee a 100%-uninterruptable supply with required materials to the assembly process.
Position Responsibilities:
-
Plan and order material via SAP or other tools as needed.
-
First line of contact with supply base to assure on time delivery.
-
Organize and facilitate meetings with vendors and supporting job functions.
-
Follow up with suppliers on lead-time of delivery and freight to assure production flow.
-
Perform cycle counts to assure inventory accuracy.
-
Investigate and manage dunnage related topics.
-
Track and assure delivery of inbound freight and ASN delivery dates are correct.
-
Manage inventory levels via MRP settings to meet ITR targets.
-
Communicate with customer as needed to investigate forecast and other related topics.
-
Communicate and escalate expedited freight topics with logistics management team.
-
Work with interfaces to develop and improve part planning methods and capacity utilization.
-
Improve delivery performance inbound, inventory turn rates, logistics costs, & dunnage.
-
Investigate and implement continuous improvement activities related to freight management.
Essential Skills and Experience:
-
Associates degree or similar education or equivalent professional experience
-
1-2 years of work-related experience
-
Computer Skills (Microsoft Office Software, ERP systems)
Preferred Skills and experience:
-
Fluent in Spanish and English
-
Bachelor’s degree.
-
Basic knowledge of DOT compliance and relevant regulations.
-
SAP
-
Training in 5S, LEAN, and other company-required programs.
-
Broad knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within supply chain planning.

Experience with demand forecasting and/or planning methods.
