Platform Engineer – Zendesk Deploy Team

The Zendesk Deploy team is looking for a Platform Engineer who is motivated to improve deployment tools and infrastructure that allow over 1,000 engineers to deliver code quickly, safely, and reliably.

What you’ll be doing

  • Contribute to building and maintaining deployment infrastructure and internal tools supporting continuous integration and delivery pipelines.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to understand their deployment needs and help implement best practices.

  • Support Kubernetes-based deployment automation and platforms.

  • Help ensure reliability by monitoring systems, responding to incidents, and improving documentation and runbooks.

  • Contribute to improvements in deployment speed, security, and scalability through automation and infrastructure as code.

  • Explore and apply AI-based tools to improve operational efficiency and deployment workflows.

What you bring to the role

  • Experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Platform Engineering, or a similar role.

  • Good understanding of container technologies, especially Kubernetes and Docker.

  • Coding and scripting experience in languages such as Go, Python, Ruby, or Bash.

  • Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

  • Experience supporting or operating production systems.

  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.

  • Understanding of Kubernetes deployment concepts.

Optional / Nice to have

  • Exposure to CI/CD tools such as ArgoCD or Spinnaker.

  • Familiarity with configuration languages like Jsonnet.

  • Basic understanding of Git Ops principles.

  • Experience collaborating with developer or platform teams.

  • Exposure to cloud environments or hybrid cloud setups.

  • Frontend web development experience.

The Poland annualized base salary range for this position is zł179,000.00-zł269,000.00. Please note that while the salary range represents the minimum and maximum base salary rate for this position, the actual compensation offered will be based on job related capabilities, applicable experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, or related incentives that will be communicated during the offer stage.

Hybrid: In this role, our hybrid experience is designed at the team level to give you a rich onsite experience packed with connection, collaboration, learning, and celebration - while also giving you flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. This role must attend our local office for part of the week. The specific in-office schedule is to be determined by the hiring manager.
