You would play a working role in month end and period end processing for lease accounting and would be accountable for all lease accounting, reconciliations, and month end and period end review. This role ensures correct accounting related to all leases and lease related activities working with internal teams.

Degree in accounting, finance or related field, working towards accounting qualification, previous lease experience highly regarded

2+ years of experience in accounting or finance

Strong process-oriented mindset with high attention to detail and inquisitive mindset.

Ability to manage deadlines effectively, prioritize work tasks, and handle a dynamic work environment.

Intermediate to advanced Excel skills are necessary.

Analytical skills with the ability to draw insightful conclusions.

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

Provide timely reconciliations and analysis for lease-related accounts and ensure general ledger balance sheet accounts are current and compliant with SOX.

Handle Rent payments and accrual accounting, service charges, landlord insurance and business rates.

Conduct Quarterly reporting and Balance Sheet analysis.

Provide initial set up, amortization and reconciliation of Deferred Rent and ASC 842 accounts for all brands.

Prepare period-end and quarterly accounting and analysis of various rent related expense accounts.

Raise recharges to Franchisees for sub-let stores and business rentals.

Responsible for quarterly and annual forecasting, including explanations for variances and monthly true-up details.

Assist with all internal and external audit team requests, ensuring requests and responses are logical and timely.
