  • As the Digital Product Manager, you will own the end-to-end experience of your assigned digital channels, including apps, web, and kiosks, across all African markets. Your role is pivotal in aligning with the Channel Strategy and translating it into an executable product strategy and roadmap. You will partner closely with Design/UX to create a frictionless customer journey, ensuring accessibility and brand standards are met. Additionally, you will oversee channel operations, focusing on reliability, telemetry, and incident response.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 5-7+ years of experience in product management for customer-facing apps, web, or e-commerce, with a proven track record of shipping features at scale.

  • Strong skills in requirements writing, analytics, and experimentation, with expertise in funnels, cohorts, A/B testing, and KPI setting.

  • Working knowledge of APIs, integrations, payments, and non-functional requirements, including security, privacy, and performance.

  • Proficiency in Agile practices, product discovery, and stakeholder management across diverse teams and markets.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively.

  • Experience with multi-market complexity, localization, and global alignment, ensuring a consistent user experience.

  • Ability to model economic impact and make informed trade-off decisions, considering orders, revenue, and cost-to-serve.

  • Familiarity with process design and improvement, creating workflows to enhance predictability and efficiency.

  • A passion for innovation, with a track record of piloting new UX patterns, payment methods, and platform capabilities.

  • Develop an outcome-based product vision and roadmap, setting measurable OKRs and prioritizing tasks.

  • Write clear Business Requirement Specifications (BRS) and acceptance criteria, translating customer and commercial needs into actionable requirements.

  • Manage the backlog, breaking down epics into user stories, and ensuring a clear definition of ready/done, with traceability to desired outcomes.

  • Collaborate with engineering, QA, and vendors for build, test, and release management, covering test plans, UAT, and hypercare.

  • Improve funnel and journey metrics, enhancing conversion, AOV, and satisfaction, and verifying through analytics and experimentation.

  • Ensure operational health with monitoring, alerts, SLOs, and incident triage, keeping channels available and performant across markets.

  • Align with Channel Lead and Brand Manager on strategy, value propositions, and growth experiments, negotiating trade-offs and sequencing.

  • Partner with CRM and Insights teams to define segments, interpret results, and make data-driven decisions.

  • Validate designs with Enablement Lead, Delivery Manager, and Solution Architect, ensuring alignment with standards and managing risks.

  • Lead technical integration efforts, including POS, CRM, loyalty, and payments, while managing versioning, timeouts, and error handling.
