What you’ll need to succeed as a Tax Intern at XPO

Minimum qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent and currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)

Preferred qualifications:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Solid organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines

• Self-motivated instincts with the ability to work well with minimal supervision or in a team environment and consult with team members/management as needed

• Completion of at least one tax course preferred

About the Tax Intern job

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Assist with the preparation of federal and state tax returns, estimates, provisions and planning

• Assist with tax notices and audits

• Collaborate with the tax team to create reports and work on special projects for management

• Gain understanding and experience with Tax Accounting

• Build strong relationships and collaborations with members of the tax department to support department and company goals

• Identify opportunities to improve current processes
