We anticipate the need for one or more Electric Underground Helper(s) to be located at the Rice Street Service Center in St. Paul, MN. The rate of pay for this job classification is $28.46.  This position will be posted for 10 working days from February 23, 2026, to March 6, 2026.

**Job responsibilities **(May include, but not limited to the following):

Perform the duties of the Helper classification including pulling cable into the manhole/duct system and cleaning manholes and vaults. The person filling this position must be self-motivated, work well with others, and possess a positive attitude and commitment to work safely, provide quality customer service, create customer satisfaction and to work productively.

Bargaining and Non-Bargaining employees may apply for this position. The Company has sole right of selectivity.

This is a temporary position and doesn’t guarantee employment beyond 180 days. This temporary position does not qualify for Union seniority or benefits.

Minimum Requirements

 High school diploma or equivalent.

 Must meet driver qualification requirements as specified in FMCSR Parts 382 and 391, including the possession of a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A.

• Must have ability to be respirator qualified and confined space trained.

Special Requirements:

• Certificate of completion from an accredited line worker's program preferred.

 Experience with underground manholes and ducts preferred.

• Must be physically capable of performing the requirements of the classification such as climbing, shoveling, lifting, bending, twisting, etc.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Must be self-motivated and possess a positive attitude.

• Demonstrated commitment to work productively and safely.
