The Groundskeeper is responsible for daily maintenance of the Golf Course grounds.
These duties include but are not limited to: hand mowing, trimming, pruning, irrigation repairs, safe operation of equipment, perform minor repairs, adjustments and maintenance on all equipment used in daily operations such as riding mowers, utility carts, hedge trimmers, weedeaters, blowers, irrigation heads, irrigation valves, and well maintenance. They will be responsible for trash removal from the golf course, lakes, streams, and surrounding areas. The Groundskeeper is responsible for providing professional and courteous service to each and every guest. They will be responsible for exceeding guest expectations through positive interactive skills.
Job Responsibilities:
The Groundskeeper will take ownership of their assigned area and equipment including the following: The mowing of greens, tees, fairways, and roughs. The hand raking of bunker and walk on bark areas. The set-up of pin placements and tee markers.
The addition of new plants, monitoring and relaying information on turf and plant health to supervisors. The removal of dead/damaged plant material, and the use of fertilizer, fungicides, insecticides, and pesticides according to our procedures. Groundskeeper will also be responsible for ensuring all irrigation to turf, trees and plants are operating and watering correctly along with troubleshooting wet/dry areas and stressed plants/trees. Ability to diagnose equipment that is not properly working and report to management if repairs are more than minor or require shop diagnostics. In addition they will perform all duties that require the safe operation of equipment and use of tools that are necessary to maintain the golf course.

A minimum of two years of golf course or landscape maintenance experience or related field is required. Must be at least 21 years of age or older. Candidate must possess a valid Nevada driver’s license.

Candidate must be able to work efficiently within a team environment.

Must possess a positive, “whatever it takes” attitude.

Must have an open mind and willingness to learn new processes, concepts and ways of approaching guest and coworkers.

Must possess excellent communication skills.

Must be available to work all shifts and days including opening and closing shifts.

Willingness to maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding guests and staff.

Combination of education equivalent to graduation from high school (High school diploma) or any other combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Must possess outstanding organizational skills, as well as excellent attention to detail.

Must be able to work proficiently with deadlines and disciplined to work without constant guidance and supervision.

Must be available and willing to work all shifts and hours given short notice including weekends and special project hours.
