The Payroll Manager is responsible for leading and managing payroll operations for Travel + Leisure Co and its entities. This role ensures the timely and accurate execution of payroll processes, maintains strong internal controls, and guarantees compliance with all payroll deadlines, federal/state regulations, and company policies. The Payroll Manager oversees core payroll functions such as payroll and off‑cycle processing, garnishments, payroll taxes, Payroll Help Desk Operations, and vendor partnerships while managing escalated issues, driving process improvements, and strengthening internal and external relationships. This role is hybrid in office Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and remote Thursday and Friday.
How You'll Shine:

Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for multiple pay groups, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timeliness. This may include but is not limited to payroll processing (US and Canada), off cycle payroll processing, garnishments, payroll support desk, quarter and year end reporting and payroll taxation.

Maintain audit ready controls, documentation, and payroll records in accordance with corporate and legal standards.

Serve as the escalation point for complex payroll inquiries from internal partners, HR, Finance, and business leaders.

Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.

This role requires a proactive, hands-on leader who is willing to engage directly in payroll activities when needed and who cultivates a team culture rooted in collaboration, accountability, and shared success.

Lead process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing accuracy, scalability, and employee experience.

Build and maintain productive partnerships with key stakeholders, including Corporate HR, IT, Finance, Legal, and Operational Leaders.

Manage interactions and payroll related partners and vendors, ensuring performance standards are met.

What You'll Bring:

Bachelor’s degree preferred. CPP required (Certified Payroll Professional)

Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across all levels of the organization.

Proven ability to prioritize, problem-solve, and exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced, high-volume, and changing environment.

Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships, work independently, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience identifying control gaps, implementing and monitoring controls, resolving issues, and escalating to senior leadership as needed.

Ability to lead, develop, and motivate teams.

Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.

Extensive experience working with enterprise HR/payroll systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, Oracle, Ceridian) in complex, high-volume environments, including troubleshooting, configuration impact analysis, and system enhancements.

Hands-on experience leading payroll workstreams for system implementations or enhancements, including requirements gathering, UAT testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.

In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.

7+ years of progressive payroll experience, including multi-state payroll in a large organization (16,000+ associates).

2+ years of leadership experience managing payroll or HR operations teams.
Unless there is a legal requirement, experience will be accepted for the education requirement.
