About the Team
The Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ) Marketing team at Workday is a high-impact, integral part of the regional growth engine. Operating in lockstep with Sales, the team is deeply embedded in the business to drive brand awareness, demand generation, and customer advocacy across a diverse marketplace.
The team is strategically structured into two key layers:
In-Country Field Marketing: Resources dedicated to specific sub-theatres to ensure local alignment and execution.
APJ Regional Team: A centralized function that provides scale and executional efficiency across the entire region.
As the Director of Marketing Campaigns and Programs, you will lead a specialized team of four individuals within this regional structure. This team is responsible for architecting and customizing high-performance campaigns bridging the gap between global strategy and local market success across ANZ, Japan, ASEAN, India, Korea, and Hong Kong/Taiwan.
About the Role
As the Director of Campaigns and Programs for Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ), you will be the primary architect for how Workday’s global vision translates into local market success. You will bridge the gap between global strategy and regional execution, ensuring that our campaigns resonate across a diverse landscape—from the established markets of ANZ and Japan to the high-growth sub-theatres of ASEAN, India, Korea, and Hong Kong/Taiwan.
The Ideal Candidate
- The APJ Expert: You have deep experience executing marketing programs across a diverse range of cultures and languages (ASEAN, India, Korea, ANZ, Japan, HK/Taiwan). You understand that one size does not fit all.
- Strategic & Hands-on: You can navigate a board-level strategy meeting about Vision 29, but you aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves to review a digital asset or a lead-flow process.
- Data-Driven: You live in the data. You understand digital marketing funnels and prioritize actions based on what the metrics are telling you.
- Master Collaborator: You are a seasoned marketer. You can influence global stakeholders while supporting the immediate needs of regional field teams.
- Resilient Leader: You have a proven track record of managing teams and helping them navigate the complexities of a large, matrixed organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Regional Strategy & Alignment: Align APJ campaign efforts with the Vision 29 goals. Partner with sub-theatre marketing leaders to ensure programs support specific regional pipeline objectives.
- Global-to-Local Orchestration**:** Collaborate deeply with Global Campaigns teams to understand upcoming assets and strategy. Lead the regionalization process—adapting, translating, and tailoring global content to be culturally and linguistically relevant.
- Program Development: Identify gaps in global offerings and lead the creation of bespoke APJ-specific assets and programs where necessary to drive local engagement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a critical node between Global Marketing, Regional Marketing Leaders, and the APJ Digital Marketing team to ensure an omni-channel approach.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a high-performing team of four, fostering a culture of accountability, creativity, and data-driven decision-making.
- Measurement & Attribution: Maintain a relentless focus on data. Track campaign performance, ensure clear attribution, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders on ROI and pipeline impact.
About You Basic Qualifications
- 10 years of B2B marketing experience, specifically in campaign management and program development within the SaaS/Tech industry.
- Proven experience managing teams across the APJ region.
- Strong proficiency in digital marketing strategies and tools (e.g., Salesforce, Marketo, Demandbase).
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate complex strategies to both global and regional executives.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt messaging for different linguistic and cultural contexts across APJ.
Our Approach to Flexible Work
With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote home office roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.
At Workday, we are committed to providing an accessible and inclusive hiring experience where all candidates can fully demonstrate their skills. If you require assistance or an accommodation at any point, please email accommodationsworkday.com.
Are you being referred to one of our roles? If so, ask your connection at Workday about our Employee Referral process!
At Workday, we value our candidates’ privacy and data security. Workday will never ask candidates to apply to jobs through websites that are not Workday Careers.
Please be aware of sites that may ask for you to input your data in connection with a job posting that appears to be from Workday but is not.
In addition, Workday will never ask candidates to pay a recruiting fee, or pay for consulting or coaching services, in order to apply for a job at Workday.
