Working with an outstanding group of highly qualified Cloud & Network professionals, you will be part of a special team that supports the global corporate cloud & network for all workmates. We are seeking a skilled and motivated engineer who can proudly deliver quality code efficiently, while collaborating with various partners. This position is located in Pune, India.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a passion for infrastructure & network automation, problem solving and innovation. This role requires a self-motivated professional that consistently brings a high level of dedication to Workday, customers, and workmates.

• The primary role will be to design and implement secure automation solutions for development, testing, and production network environments

Automate the full lifecycle management (provisioning, configuration, and decommissioning) of cloud resources (Compute, Storage, Networking, Security).

• Implement automation, effective monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code

• Think creatively and consider issues and challenges from the Cloud & Network Operations and Engineering perspectives; while bringing a pragmatic approach to solving issues

• Assess day-to-day processes and provide thoughtful and insightful automated solutions to make them more efficient.

• Build and maintain technical and support documentation in order to keep standards up to date.

• Ability to work in a high trust and innovative environment where teamwork is essential

About You Basic Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development principles applied to infrastructure, with specific expertise in automating the build, deployment, updates, and patch management of networking components, cloud environments, and server operating systems. This role is crucial for integrating our infrastructure with existing DevOps practices to enhance efficiency, reliability, and speed of delivery

• 6 years of hands-on experience supporting all aspects of enterprise infrastructure, networks, including layer 2 and layer 3 switching, routing and internet connectivity. 2 of those years working on network automation.

• Proven working knowledge of Python or Ansible, Github and Rest APIs

• Develop automation playbooks and workflows using Ansible AWX and Python to manage and configure network devices.

• Automate firewall policy management for Palo Alto Networks Firewalls, ensuring compliance and security best practices.

• Oversee the deployment, and management of infrastructure on AWS Cloud, utilizing services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, and Terraform.

• Solid understanding of networking protocols and concepts such as BGP, OSPF, DNS and IPAM

• Ability to prioritize projects, create robust documentation, and collaborate across teams.

Other Qualifications

• BS Technical degree or equivalent work experience

• Experience in automating and optimizing business processes would be beneficial.

• Familiarity with XML and JSON. Some level of automation testing is helpful

• Experience with tools such as Solarwinds, Infoblox, Panorama, Ansible Tower and Cisco DNA Center would be desirable

• Proficiency in at least one of the following configuration languages would be a plus: Jinja2, Terraform or CloudFormation

• Experience with one of the following is also a plus: AWS, GCP and Azure
