Would you like to help build the next generation of enterprise tooling to make the adoption of Workday features as quick and easy as possible for our customers and implementation partners? As an Engineer in DAP (deployment adoption platform), you’ll be designing and developing the tools which help customers adopt Workday and it’s features, by making it easy and reliable for them to move their data and configuration objects into their Workday environments using various modern technologies and platforms.

About the Role:

As a Senior Software Development Engineer in DAP (deployment adoption platform), you’ll be designing and developing the tools which help customers adopt Workday and it’s features, by making it easy and reliable for them to move their data and configuration objects into their Workday environments using various modern technologies and platforms.

You’ll be joining teams which are always striving to improve their ways of working and development processes to increase efficiency, security and quality of releases. You’ll be using your unique experiences and skills to contribute to the team’s success in delivering high value, high quality software to our customers.

Put our customers first by working closely with Product Management to ensure we deliver solutions that add value to our customers.

• Passionate about technology and building world-class applications and frameworks in a fast-paced, fun, agile work environment!

• Architecting, designing, implementing, testing and deploying services with robust unit tests and metrics

• Driving continuous improvement within the team to ensure a high quality service

• Working closely with product managers to understanding customer needs and translating it to software requirements and execution plans

• Delivering quality features on-time and on-budget and implementing towards project plans and delivery commitments

• Leading team members to handle the day-to-day development activities, participate in designs, design review, code review, and implementation

• Mentoring and leading junior engineers and guiding them towards good software development techniques

• Maintaining current technical knowledge to support evolving technology, always on a look out for new technologies and working with the team in bringing them in

About You

• Basic Qualifications

• Sr Software Engineer

• Bachelor's or higher degree in a computer related field or equivalent relevant experience

• 8+ years experience with Web application development and/or SaaS (Software as a Service); UML is a plus

• Experience of developing any OO languages at a senior level (Java, Python, etc.)

• Experience in common design patterns with good grasp of distributed systems and ability to communicate design ideas effectively

• A collaborative team player with strong communication skills

• An owner who solves problems proactively and holds themselves accountable to their team and their customers. Code ownership increases when your code hits production

• Have previously led the technical delivery of innovative and complex business functionality

• A deep understanding of software engineering principles and the ability to demonstrate the application of these principles in recent project deliverables

• A code quality champion and advocate with a solid understanding of test automation principles

• Strong understanding of performance engineering and performance testing principles
