HCM Requirements

• Understanding of foundational HCM principles including Business Processes, Reporting, Calculated Fields, Security, and Notifications
• Demonstrated knowledge of Workday Docs, letter templates, Questionnaire, Survey, Reference Letters, and custom alerts
• Advanced hands-on experience with Onboarding, Change Job, and Termination business processes
• Ability to create Calculated Fields and Custom reports
• Strong understanding of building, maintaining, and interpreting Workday security group permissions with a focus on least-privilege principles and streamlining access management

Time & Absence Requirements

• Advanced hands-on experience with time-off plan configuration including complex accruals, carryovers, shadow plans, and touchpoints with leaves and time tracking
• Advanced hands-on experience with leave configuration including balance periods, cascading leaves, intermittent leaves, and complex eligibility and validation rules
• Experience with ancillary absence processes such as automated leave return, automatic balance adjustments and transfers, and Sell Time Off
• Experience with Workday time-tracking configuration, time submissions, and employee work schedules
• Experience with reporting using available Absence and Time Tracking data sources
• Knowledge of Workday's API capabilities for the Absence and Time Tracking modules

Payroll Requirements

• Workday Payroll processing knowledge including calculation, complete, and settle steps
• Experience with building payroll components (Earnings, Deductions, Account Posting Rules, Run Categories, Payment Election Rules)
• Experience with third-party payroll configuration (External Earnings, External Deductions, External Inputs)
• Experience with reporting data sources for Payroll (Payroll Results) and Accounting (Journal Lines)
• Knowledge of payroll regulatory rules and their impact on payroll configuration
• Knowledge of payroll touchpoints (Time Tracking, Absence, HCM, Compensation, Benefits)
