Role Purpose

The Test Automation Engineer prepares test cases and performs testing of products, platforms, and solutions deployed at client locations to ensure 100% quality assurance compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand test requirements and design test cases based on business and testable requirements
• Author test plans and implement Wipro's model-based testing approach for efficient test generation
• Conduct peer reviews of test cases to minimize rework
• Collaborate with development teams to identify, capture, and version control test cases
• Define testing scope, criteria, parameters, and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Automate test processes using VB macros, scheduling, and GUI automation tools
• Design and execute automation frameworks with comprehensive reporting
• Develop and execute tests for software validation through test environment setup, test plan design, and test case execution
• Raise defects with clear descriptions and replication patterns that meet project/program standards
• Detect and document bug issues with detailed defect reports and test progress updates
• Deliver work items on time within Wipro/Customer SLAs with no rejections or slippage
• Create and release test status dashboards after each testing cycle to stakeholders
• Provide feedback on usability and serviceability, tracing results to quality risks and reporting to stakeholders
• Maintain regular status reporting and customer communication regarding testing execution
• Ensure professional quality interactions with customers via email, fault tracking, calls, and business etiquette
• Deliver on-time reports (WSRs, test execution reports) and dashboard updates in the test management repository
• Log accurate effort tracking in e Cube, TMS, and project trackers
• Respond promptly to customer requests with no internal or external complaints
