Job Description

Role Purpose

Provide significant technical expertise in architecture planning and design of the concerned tower (platform, database, middleware, backup, etc.) as well as managing its day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture Planning and Design

  • Provide support in architecture planning, migration, and installation for new projects
  • Lead the structural and architectural design of platforms, middleware, databases, and backup solutions according to system requirements to ensure scalable and extensible solutions
  • Conduct technology capacity planning by reviewing current and future requirements
  • Utilize new features of underlying technologies to ensure smooth functioning of installed databases and applications
  • Strategize and implement disaster recovery plans and backup and recovery procedures

Day-to-Day Operations Management

  • Manage daily operations by troubleshooting issues, conducting root cause analysis, and developing fixes to prevent recurrence
  • Plan and manage upgradations, migrations, maintenance, backup, installation, and configuration functions
  • Review technical performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce performance challenges
  • Develop shift rosters to ensure uninterrupted tower operations
  • Create and update standard operating procedures, data responsibility matrices, operations manuals, daily test plans, and data architecture guidance
  • Provide weekly status reports to client leadership and internal stakeholders
  • Leverage technology to develop Service Improvement Plans through automation and other initiatives

Team Management

  • Forecast talent requirements based on business needs
  • Hire and develop appropriate resources
  • Ensure compliance with onboarding and training standards
  • Build internal talent pools and support career progression
  • Set goals, conduct performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback
  • Lead engagement initiatives and track team satisfaction
  • Drive recognition and appreciation programs

  • SLA adherence and tower operations excellence
  • Customer satisfaction and experience
  • Timely delivery of new projects
  • Risk identification and mitigation planning
  • Avoidance of unauthorized changes and formal escalations

Required Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of experience
  • Mandatory skill: Network Implementation
