Job Description Role Purpose:

Network Engineer's primary responsibility and accountability is to provide technical operational support as a Hands and Feet resource on the Network Operations Team. Will work to provide network support for new projects for transformation of technology domain including Wired, Wireless, and Voice technologies. This includes working with other network level engineers and Project and Portfolio Managers, IT Analysts and Managed Service Providers to effectively manage and deliver network infrastructure standards, processes and procedures.

Essential Responsibilities:

• As a hands and feet engineer you will be required to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve problems surrounding network infrastructure.
• Work onsite supporting network related issues, by leveraging SNOW and working incidents to resolution
• Deploy equipment as required to field offices or data centers as instructed
• Maintain Service Level Agreements as defined
• Adhere to all operating standards and policies
• May have to work after hours to assist in outages, projects, or implementation efforts that require hands and feet resource
• Will engage in open collaboration with onsite and offshore resources comprising the Network Services Team

Essential Technical Knowledge:

• Basic knowledge of Network devices such as Switches, Routers, Wireless Access Points, preferably Cisco
• Basic knowledge of LAN, WAN, WLAN technologies, Network Security.
• Basic troubleshooting of Avaya VOIP phones (knowledge of basic configuration)
• Troubleshoot issues with fiber links between switches and routers and be able to visualize errors and communicate to remote technical teams
• Troubleshoot power related issues
• Troubleshoot and replace faulty network hardware such as switches, chassis, blades, fan modules
• Visual check of the IDF closets and MDF closets for cooling and power
• Basic knowledge of monitoring tools
• Assist data center engineers within the data center, and remotely as required
• Work with external ISPs, such as Verizon, AT&T, Comcast, Avaya on circuit related issues or connectivity problems
• Conduct Moves Adds Changes (MACD) installations

Mandatory Skills: Network Data Admin .

Experience: 5-8 Years .

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000 .

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
