Role Summary
We are looking for a skilled DB2 Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize DB2 database environments across development, testing, and production systems. The role involves database administration, performance tuning, backup & recovery, and ensuring high availability.

Technical Skills Core Skills

Strong hands-on experience in IBM DB2 LUW / DB2 z/OS
-
Expertise in:
-
DB2 installation, configuration, and patching
-
Backup & recovery (Image copy, restore, rollforward)
-
Performance tuning and query optimization
-
Experience with DB2 utilities (REORG, RUNSTATS, LOAD, etc.)
-
Good knowledge of SQL and database design Advanced Skills (Preferred – L3)
-
Experience with Replication (Q Replication / CDC)
-
High availability & DR setups (HADR)
-
Automation using scripting (Shell / REXX)
-
Monitoring tools (OEM, Tivoli, etc.)
