Role Purpose

Design, program, simulate and test automation products and processes to achieve required efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

Understanding Requirements & Design

• Analyze and understand current technology architecture, system interdependencies, and application stacks
• Formulate project plans in collaboration with project management and submit for approval
• Consult with users, partners, and clients to understand current operating procedures
• Contribute to automation roadmap design and testing process improvements through research and development of new solutions
• Improve and maintain automation frameworks for horizontal use across technology stacks and build reusable libraries across business verticals

Design & Execute Software Development

• Design test plans, develop test cases and scenarios, and execute comprehensive testing
• Create technical specifications and resolve complex technical design issues
• Conduct design activities with development teams for functional and non-functional requirement testing
• Implement and track key metrics ensuring full coverage of automation requirements
• Own testing and validation of code to eliminate errors
• Track problems, resolutions, and bug fixes; maintain a defect database with successful mitigation techniques
• Design and implement automated testing tools; update as needed for efficiency and accuracy
• Develop programs that run efficiently and adhere to Wipro standards using accepted design patterns

Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration

• Work with Agile delivery teams to develop robust, scalable, high-quality test automation for functional, regression, and performance testing
• Assist in creating acceptance criteria and generate test automation backlogs
• Collaborate with development teams to improve continuous deployment practices
• Work with business subject matter experts to design, build, and deploy automated solutions
• Document projects according to Wipro guidelines for long-term maintainability
• Communicate clearly and effectively with test personnel, developers, and clients to facilitate problem resolution
• Support testers and personnel in determining system problems
• Perform backend/database programming for key projects
• Stay current with industry standards and best practices

Performance Metrics

• Quality of design and adherence to design standards
• Adherence to project timelines
• Issue resolution and client escalation management
• Zero disruption/error in deployment
• Early warning system on risks and deployment of mitigation measures
• Complete documentation per quality standards

Required Qualifications

Experience: 5-8 years

Mandatory Skills: Telecom SIP Testing, VoIP, VoLTE, VoNR
