Test Engineer

Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to prepare test cases and perform testing of products, platforms, and solutions for client deployment, ensuring 100% quality assurance standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand test requirements and design test cases with knowledge of business and testable requirements
• Author test planning and implement Wipro's model-based testing methodology for efficient test generation
• Ensure test cases undergo peer review to minimize rework
• Collaborate with development teams to identify, capture, and version control test cases
• Define testing criteria, parameters, scope, and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Automate test lifecycle processes using VB macros, scheduling, and GUI automation
• Design and execute automation frameworks with comprehensive reporting
• Develop and execute tests for software validation by setting up environments, designing test plans, and executing test cases
• Ensure defect reports are clear, well-documented, and follow project standards with replication patterns
• Detect and document bugs with detailed defect reports and progress updates
• Meet Wipro and customer SLAs with no rejected or slipped deliverables
• Create and release test status dashboards after each test cycle to stakeholders
• Provide feedback on usability and serviceability, linking results to quality risks
• Maintain ongoing status reporting and customer focus regarding testing activities
• Ensure professional communication with customers via email, fault tracking, calls, and business etiquette
• Deliver on-time results including test execution reports and dashboard updates in the test management repository
• Accurately log efforts in e Cube, TMS, and project trackers
• Respond promptly to customer requests with no internal or external complaints

Performance Metrics

• Understanding test requirements and designing error-free testing solutions with minimum process exceptions and 100% SLA compliance
• Testing efficiency, quality, on-time delivery, troubleshooting within turnaround time, and customer satisfaction scores

• Experience: 5-8 years
