Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Architecture & Design:

• Architect, design, and implement multi-region AWS infrastructure to support 99.999% service availability.

• Define zone-aware, fault-tolerant infrastructure topologies across regions, AZs, and network boundaries.

• Design secure, scalable, and resilient cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS core services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, Lambda, etc.).

Infrastructure Components Development:

• Build, configure, and manage components including:

o Databases (RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB)

o Managed Kafka (Amazon MSK)

o Kubernetes clusters (EKS)

o Caching layers (Elasti Cache

• Redis/Memcached)

o Secrets management (AWS Secrets Manager, Hashi Corp Vault)

o Networking components (VPCs, Transit Gateways, Load Balancers, Route53, Firewalls)

• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions using CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, etc.

Infrastructure Automation

• Use Terraform and Crossplane to create reusable, modular Infrastructure-as-Code blueprints.

• Build CI/CD pipelines to automate provisioning, testing, and deployment of infrastructure.

• Implement drift detection, automated reconciliation, and self-healing patterns for cloud resources.

• Maintain version-controlled infrastructure repositories using Git Ops workflows.

Resiliency, Performance & Security

• Design systems with built-in auto scaling, fault isolation, and resiliency patterns.

• Apply AWS Well-Architected Framework best practices across operational excellence, cost, security, reliability, and performance efficiency.

• Implement encryption, identity policies, zero-trust models, and network segmentation.

• Conduct capacity planning, performance tuning, and chaos engineering exercises.

Collaboration & Leadership:

• Collaborate with application architects, SREs, DevOps teams, and security engineers to define cloud strategies and architectural guidelines.

• Provide architectural governance, documentation, and design reviews.

• Mentor engineering teams on cloud best practices and automation.

Required Qualifications:

• 9 years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure Engineering, DevOps, or Architecture roles.

• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS in large-scale production environments.

• Strong proficiency in Terraform, Crossplane, and Git Ops methodologies.

• Deep knowledge of VPC design, networking, security, IAM, and multi-region workloads.

• Experience with Kubernetes (EKS), MSK or Kafka, RDS/Aurora, and caching layers.

• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar).

• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing for infrastructure.

• Experience building systems with five-nines availability or similar high-resiliency targets.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect

• Professional, DevOps Engineer, Advanced Networking).

• Experience with Hashi Corp Vault, service mesh (Istio/App Mesh), and secrets management.

• Background in large-scale SRE, platform engineering, or reliability-focused roles.

• Experience with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic).

• Familiarity with cloud cost optimization and Fin Ops practices.

• Strong communication and architectural documentation skills.

• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments.

• Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
