Quality Assurance Tester

Role Purpose

Prepare test cases and perform testing of products, platforms, and solutions to be deployed at client sites, ensuring 100% quality assurance standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Understand test requirements and design test cases based on business and testable requirements
• Author test plans with appropriate business knowledge
• Ensure test cases are peer reviewed to minimize rework
• Work with development teams to identify, capture, and version test cases
• Define testing criteria, parameters, scope, and out-of-scope items; participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Automate test life cycle processes using VB macros, scheduling, and GUI automation
• Design and execute automation frameworks and reporting
• Develop and automate tests for software validation by setting up test environments, designing test plans, and executing test cases and scenarios
• Raise test defects according to project norms with clear descriptions and replication patterns
• Detect and document bug issues with comprehensive defect reports and test progress updates
• Deliver work items without rejection or slippage, meeting Wipro and customer SLAs
• Design and release test status dashboards at the end of each test cycle to stakeholders
• Provide feedback on usability and serviceability; trace results to quality risk and report to stakeholders

Expected salary range: $25,000 - $50,000 (based on location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and experience)
