Cybersecurity Analyst

Role Purpose

Analyse, identify, rectify, and recommend specific improvement measures that enhance the organization's security posture by protecting sensitive information.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure customer centricity by providing appropriate cybersecurity solutions
• Monitor and safeguard log sources and security access
• Plan for disaster recovery in the event of security breaches
• Monitor for attacks, intrusions, and unusual, unauthorized, or illegal activity
• Perform log reviews and forensic analysis to identify unauthorized or unacceptable access to data or systems
• Conduct security assessments, risk analysis, and root cause analysis of security incidents
• Handle incidents escalated by the L1 team in 24x7 rotational shifts
• Use advanced analytics tools to identify emerging threat patterns and vulnerabilities
• Complete tactical security operations tasks
• Analyse attacks and develop remedial analysis
• Conduct detailed incident analysis and create reports and dashboards
• Coordinate with stakeholders regarding cybersecurity issues and provide future recommendations
• Maintain information security risk registers and assist with internal and external audits
• Assist with creation, maintenance, and delivery of cybersecurity awareness training
• Provide guidance to employees on issues such as spam and malicious emails

Performance Metrics

• Customer Centricity: Timely security breach resolution for end users, internal stakeholders, and external customers
• Process Adherence: SLA compliance (90-95%), response time, and resolution time targets

Requirements

• Mandatory Skills: Microsoft Entra ID
• Experience: 5-8 years
