Job Description:

SDET Playwright Key Responsibilities:

• Develop scalable end-to-end test automation using Playwright, leveraging features such as browser contexts, inspector, tracing, action explorer, etc.
  Build and maintain automated test suites for React-based front-end applications.
• Write high-quality Python-based test utilities, harnesses, and validation scripts, similar to patterns used in internal QA Automation roles (Python/Java).
• Integrate automated tests into GitLab CI/CD pipelines and ensure consistent test execution across environments.
• Create robust automation for RESTful APIs and microservices implemented in Python (FastAPI/Django)
• Define and execute comprehensive test strategies covering functional, regression, integration, UI, and cross-browser scenarios.
• Improve product quality by identifying root causes, designing validation mechanisms, and preventing regressions.
• Integrate automated tests into Azure/GitLab pipelines and ensure traceability & test reporting through Playwright's tracing and artifacts.
• Work closely with developers, product owners, and AI/ML teams (where applicable) to ensure complete test coverage from design to production.

Technical Skills

• Strong programming in Python for test automation

• Hands-on experience with Playwright (multi-browser, cross-platform, tracing, inspector)

• Good understanding of React.js applications and design reliable UI tests.

• Familiarity with CI/CD (GitLab/Azure) and modern testing practices.

• Test strategy design for UI, API, and integration layers.

• Experience with browser automation, API testing and cross-browser validation.

• Understanding of data validation, schema checks, and debugging tools.

• Analytical mindset with strong debugging abilities.

• Collaboration and communication skills across engineering and QA stakeholders.

• Ability to work in fast-paced, regulated environments
