Position Overview:

The Test Team Lead is responsible for driving the quality assurance process by leading a team of testers, implementing effective testing strategies, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software products. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate across teams to meet project objectives. candidate will lead the adoption of modern automation frameworks, AI-assisted testing techniques, and data-driven quality practices, while mentoring teams and shaping our long-term quality strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement testing strategies to ensure delivery of high-quality software products, including automated testing solutions.

• Lead and coordinate daily activities of the test team to meet established timelines and project goals.

• Evaluate and ensure quality of test cases and execution results, providing feedback and guidance to team members.

• Maintain JIRA dashboards to provide real-time visibility into testing progress for each release.

• Oversee execution of manual and automated tests to validate functionality, performance, and interface integrity.

• Analyze requirements and design specifications to develop comprehensive test plans and scenarios.

• Design and document test cases covering various functionalities and edge cases.

• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution, ensuring clear communication with development teams.

• Ensure adherence to best practices in testing methodologies and recommend process improvements.

Required Skills:

• 5 years of experience in software testing and 2 years in a leadership role.

• Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.

• High proficiency in automated testing tools (e.g., Tosca, Test Complete) for web and mainframe applications.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root causes of defects.

• Ability to write clear and concise test cases and documentation.

• Effective communication and leadership skills to manage team activities and report issues.

• High attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in the Medicaid healthcare domain.

• Familiarity with both waterfall and agile development lifecycles.

• Knowledge of various testing types, including functional, performance, and regression testing.

Tools & Technologies:

• JIRA for test management and reporting.

• Automated testing tools such as Tosca and Test Complete.

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $80,000 to $158,000 .

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
