This position is part of our Early Career program at WD. Our Early Career program is designed to support individuals beginning their professional career by providing the foundational training through a structured onboarding, mentorship, and development curriculum. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Enhance operational efficiency by eliminating non-value-added activities and improving the agility of Head/Media qualification processes through digital transformation projects. - Conduct stakeholder interviews to gather insights and understand requirements. - Develop, test, and support workflow applications for process automation, integrating AI models for predictive analysis and decision-making. - Use AI/ML frameworks and tools to create intelligent solutions that enhance existing workflows or introduce new capabilities. - Maintain detailed records of project activities, findings, and progress. - Develop user manuals or training materials, if required. - Participate in regular project meetings and actively contribute to team discussions. - Present key findings and recommendations to mentors and stakeholders. - Assist in designing digital solutions to streamline processes. - Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to prototype and test digital tools. - Participate in system integration, conduct user acceptance testing (UAT), and ensure successful implementation. ## Qualifications REQUIRED: - Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience PREFERRED: - Knowledge and experience in developing applications with AI/ML technologies and integrating these into workflows. - Familiarity with Software Design Patterns and Database Design Concepts. - Proficiency in programming languages/libraries such as Python (with AI/ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn), SQL, JavaScript, and APIs for workflow automation. - Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) for hosting AI applications or tools. - Skills in Design Thinking, Project Management, Presentations, and Teamwork. - Experience in using project tracking tools like Trello, Jira, or Microsoft Project (optional but beneficial). ## Additional Information #LI-BI1 Western Digital thrives on the power and potential of diversity.
