Your New Role The Senior Systems Engineer, Windows is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and scalable endpoint solutions using Intune, SCCM, and Active Directory. This role serves as a technical lead for Windows endpoint operations, driving automation, compliance, and continuous improvement across enterprise environments.

Your Role Accountabilities

OPERATIONS/PROJECT MANAGEMENT 50% time to spent

  • Lead or contribute to endpoint-related projects such as OS upgrades, security tool rollouts, and hardware refreshes. Define scope, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders

  • Work with internal teams (e.g., Info Sec, Network, Procurement) and external vendors (e.g., Microsoft, hardware OEMs) to ensure successful project delivery

  • Maintain project documentation including technical designs, implementation plans, and post-mortem reviews. Provide regular updates to

  • Identify opportunities to streamline endpoint operations and propose automation or tooling enhancements. Participate in enterprise-wide initiatives like E5 migrations or Defender for Endpoint optimization

STRATEGY 25% time to spent

  • Contribute to the creation and evolution of the enterprise-wide Windows endpoint strategy, ensuring alignment with WBD’s security, compliance, and user experience goals

  • Partner with Info Sec to define and maintain a roadmap for endpoint technologies, including Intune, Autopilot, Defender for Endpoint, and Bit Locker

  • Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and practices that can enhance endpoint security, automation, and manageability. Propose pilots and proof-of-concept initiatives

TEAM 25% time to spent

  • Mentor junior engineers by providing hands-on guidance, code reviews, and technical feedback to build their expertise in Windows endpoint management and automation.

  • Lead internal training sessions and create documentation to share best practices, troubleshooting techniques, and architectural standards with less experienced team members

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years in Windows endpoint engineering or systems administration.

  • Expertise in Microsoft Intune, SCCM, and Active Directory (GPO)

  • Strong PowerShell scripting for automation and troubleshooting

  • Experience with Windows 10/11 hardening, Bit Locker, and Defender Firewall policies

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Sentinel One, and other EDR tools

  • Knowledge of Azure AD, M365 E5 security stack, and conditional access policies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Superb relationship building skills

  • Work collaboratively w/small teams

  • Ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently

Not Required but preferred experience

  • Knowledge of and passion for media, entertainment, and technology industries (including key players, growth trends and drivers, new media models, industry structure, etc.)

  • Experience working in a national or global company

  • Some visualization tool knowledge would be helpful (i.e. Tableau, Power BI)

  • Comfortable in working in highly iterative and somewhat unstructured environment
