Your New Role…The Director of Custodial Services provides operational leadership for all custodial operations, ensuring safe, clean, and well-maintained environments that support the Studio’s employees, clients, guests and business objectives throughout our 110 acre Studio Main lot in Burbank. This role manages a team of 90+ custodians, oversees standards, staffing, budgets, vendor partnerships, and compliance while driving continuous improvement in service quality and efficiency. As a key facilities and operations leader, the Director aligns custodial services with the company’s values of safety, accountability, and excellence, contributing directly to workplace experience, operational readiness, and the organization’s long-term strategy.

Your Role Accountabilities…

  • Proven leadership experience directing large-scale custodial or facilities operations, including union and/or contract labor environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in operational planning, budgeting, workforce management, and performance metrics for custodial services.
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, environmental and sanitation compliance).
  • Ability to build and sustain high-performing teams through coaching, training, and clear accountability.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships, service-level agreements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align custodial operations to organizational priorities and customer expectations.

Qualifications & Experience…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive experience in custodial services, facilities operations, or environmental services, including leadership at a managerial or director level.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing large, complex operations with multi-site portfolios, diverse teams, union labor, and significant operating budgets.
  • Strong working knowledge of custodial best practices, sanitation standards, safety regulations, and sustainable cleaning methodologies.
  • Proficiency with facilities management systems, work order systems, workforce planning tools, and data-driven performance reporting to support operational decision-making.
  • Spanish Bilingual preferred

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $105,000.00 - $195,000.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
