Your New Role…
As an Intern of Merchandising Insights & Analytics, you will be joining the team responsible for championing a data-driven approach to editorial and merchandising activities in-app, providing insights and recommendations to leadership to influence decision making, and developing frameworks and benchmarks for assessing Merchandising performance. The right person for this role is naturally curious about content, loves digging into the details, and thrives in ambiguity. They’re energized by uncovering insights, eager to take on new challenges, and willing to dive into the nitty‑gritty – going the extra mile when needed to drive meaningful results. They take ownership of their work, follow through on commitments, and consistently show responsibility in how they deliver. They also bring a genuine passion for the entertainment industry and light up when talking about what’s trending, why audiences connect with certain stories, and how great content finds its way to viewers. This position will play a key role in supporting relationships across teams and delivering high quality work in one of the highest priority business initiatives at Warner Bros Discovery.
Your Role Accountabilities…

Support the Merchandising Insights & Analytics team in building dashboards, analyses, and reporting that enable merchandisers to understand performance, uncover opportunities, and develop data‑driven strategies.

Assist in answering key business questions by running analyses such as:
How editorial and merchandising actions influence show performance.
-
How editorial curation can work effectively alongside machine‑learning‑based recommendations.
-
Advocate data‑informed decision-making by providing clear, actionable recommendations on how content performance should inform merchandising strategies and priorities.
-
Work closely with cross‑functional teams — including Content Strategy & Analysis, Data & Analytics, Business Intelligence, Tech, and Product — to support the creation of tools, processes, and reporting that enable better insights.

Collaborate with stakeholders across different offices and time zones, ensuring smooth communication and alignment on priorities.

Provide insights and recommendations that support increased content consumption, user engagement, and overall performance on HBO Max.
-
Be a strong team player, contributing positively to team culture, working effectively with others, and being open to feedback, learning, and collaboration.
Qualifications & Experience…
-
Experience in Data & Analytics, Business Analytics and/ or Data Science field -- particularly in the media and entertainment and / or direct-to-consumer space

Excellent analytical skills, with a deep attention to detail
-
Ability to synthesize the output from analyses, identify the “so-what,” develop early hypotheses, and propose the next line of inquiry
-
Experience in building executive-level materials, with a keen eye for presentation design, and the ability to distill complex concepts and analyses into clear, easy-to-understand presentations.

Possess a high level of intellectual curiosity, focus on generating results, and exhibit the highest personal and professional standards of integrity and ethics.
-
Passion for entertainment, love for content and avid viewer, as well as a passion for staying on top of industry trends while figuring out what the future will look like with a relentless focus on creating and improving consumer value.

Collaborative and diplomatic by nature, but also willing to take and defend data- and analysis-backed positions in the ongoing process and dialogue around content selection.

The successful candidate must be motivated, disciplined, taking initiative and be able to work effectively autonomously.
-
Should be positive, and resilient with a demonstrated ability to deliver projects among cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced, constantly changing and deadline driven environment.

Good to have modelling and statistical knowledge, such as forecasting, AB-testing, or statistical modelling and causal inference
-
Experience and knowledge in Adobe/Google Analytics, Python or R.
-
Proficient in Looker or any other BI tools e.g. PowerBI/ Tableau
-
Proficient in SQL query, Excel and Powerpoint
-
Familiarity with the Google Suite of collaboration software
-
Exceptional organizational skills
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Interested applicants must be able to commit for a minimum of 3 months full-time, starting from May/June 2026. Applicants must also be enrolled at a University during the internship period and have the right to work in Singapore.
