Analyst, Rights Management
Comprised of the Company’s international business units and various direct-to-consumer streaming services, Platform Distribution aligns technology, media distribution and advertising sales into a single business segment to create and deliver personalized entertainment experiences to consumers around the world.
This person will support team members focused on Rights Management for Television products. Which in turn provide rights information for Content Sales and Direct to Consumer International services globally and enterprise wide.
Responsibilities:
Provide Rights Clearance:

Member of the Rights Management team, which is responsible for all owned, produced, acquired or licensed titles by the Walt Disney Company

Some contract interpretation on acquisition agreements and communication with local legal teams

Compile high volumes of material data sets in Excel, and map, migrate and validate data sets in Rightsline

Organize and aggregate data and agreements from Disney systems to confirm accuracy and completeness

Liaise with teams to provide clearance for current, bonus and library titles for worldwide sales team
Project Management of Disney owned services:
-
Manage relationship with Disney Channel, Disney XD, Disney Junior, Disney+ Freeform and Onyx

Point of Contact for internal and external relationships between the Rights Management, Content Planning and Distribution Planning and Analysis teams

Collaborate with internal teams as needed (Content Sales, Technical Servicing, Finance/Accounting, Production, Business Affairs, Legal, Sales, Deal Management, etc.)

Lead various projects that are required by the department in order to maintain data constancy/integrity

Perform rights entry in Rightsline
Required:
-
2+ years of professional work experience
-
1+ years of related work experience preferred, including data analysis
-
Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Share Point in Windows PC
-
Understanding of underlying distribution and music rights
-
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, tasks, and queries at any given time across multiple functional disciplines
-
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

Solid verbal and written communication skills
-
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment and display professionalism and confidence in challenging situations

Experience utilizing problem solving, decision making and analytical skills

Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $74,700 - 96,500 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
