What you'll do...
About Team:
Market Place: The Walmart Marketplace is a key part of e-commerce at Walmart. It is a gateway for Third-Party Sellers, who can manage their operations, such as onboarding, catalogs, order fulfilment, global opportunities, and return & refund management. We are Walmart's interface to all Third-Party sellers.
We are responsible for providing the best-in-class marketplace experience for our sellers and customers through the design, development, and operations of highly scalable systems. We interact with multiple teams within the company to develop scalable, robust technical solutions.
What you'll do:

Understand Marketplace problems, through direct communication with product/business, by analysing data, and by working with other engineering/business/program/product stakeholders.

Help define the technical roadmap to solve the business and product problems by building solutions as multi-tenant, scalable and extensible platform approach.

Own the entire product delivery end to end.

Work very closely with various business stakeholders to drive the execution of multiple business plans and technologies

Improve, optimize and identify opportunities for efficient software development processes

Hire, Develop and Retain a strong team of engineers
What you'll bring:
-
An Engineering Degree
-
B.E/B.Tech/MS/PhD in any stream – Computer Science preferred.
-
10 -14 years of relevant experience in building highly resilient, highly scalable systems
-
2+ years of leadership/management experience with a team of 5+ members.

A good understanding of CS Fundamentals, Data Structures, Algorithms & Problem Solving
-
Hands on experience with Java ( must to have), Nodejs or Python, Cloud ( AWS, Azure ), DevOps CICD tools, relational DBMS ( MySQL, Oracle etc ) & non-relational DBMS ( MongoDB, CosmosDB etc ) with big data technologies ( Kafka, Spark etc ).

Currently hands on writing and reviewing design & code

Understand the product and project management space with Agile methodologies.

Experience across the product development SDLC
-
Experience in building data pipelines, extensible platforms is desirable.

Option 2: 7 years’ experience in software engineering or related area. 2 years’ supervisory experience.
