About the Team:

The Value Creation team sits at the intersection of Finance and Global Tech, focused on ensuring Walmart’s technology investments generate measurable enterprise value. The team builds standardized economic frameworks that inform AI scaling, platform strategy, and capital allocation decisions. Working closely with Finance, Product, Engineering, and Strategy, the team operationalizes ROI logic and embeds economic discipline into planning cycles. This role directly influences how leadership evaluates tradeoffs, productivity gains, and long-term technology investments across segments and geographies.

What you'll do...

  • Build and maintain AI cost stack models, including compute, infrastructure, tooling, and enablement components
  • Develop unit economics frameworks to support AI use case evaluation and scaling decisions
  • Partner with Engineering to understand marginal costs, cost drivers, and capacity impacts
  • Translate enterprise outcome frameworks into measurable KPIs and standardized ROI logic
  • Develop cost-to-serve models for shared platforms and enterprise infrastructure
  • Create scenario analyses to inform scale, investment tradeoffs, and strategic decision-making
  • Embed economic assumptions into planning cycles in partnership with FP&A and segment Finance teams

What You’ll Bring: - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field and 4+ years of experience in finance, consulting, analytics, or strategy (or 6+ years of equivalent experience)

  • Advanced financial modeling skills with experience building reusable, decision-oriented models
  • Experience evaluating technology, AI, cloud, or platform-based investments
  • Ability to structure ambiguous problems into clear, actionable economic frameworks
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally within highly matrixed organizations
  • Strong executive communication skills, with the ability to translate complex economic concepts into clear visual narratives
  • Sound business judgment with the ability to balance analytical rigor and practical decision-making

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
