What you'll do...

About the Team:

The Walmart US Supply Chain Controllership team provides accounting support to business partners and ensures timely financial reporting for the Walmart US segment.

About the Position:

  • The Director, Controllership
  • Supply Chain is responsible for warehouse strategy and operations, including integrating new business by developing new financial processes and flows, integrating with Walmart financial systems, providing financial accounting support, monthly close, reconciliations, internal controls, and consulting with various business partners. In addition to being responsible for guiding our business operators on strategic investments and the respective valuations of investments and partnerships.

Position is located at headquarters in Bentonville, Arkansas. A comprehensive relocation package is provided.
What you'll do:

  • Integrating new businesses into the Walmart ecosystem, ultimately creating efficiencies and synergies.
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline and automate existing processes as well as partnering with our shared services providers.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with business and finance partners.
  • Ensuring new business accounting methodology is supported and applied consistently.
  • Ensuring internal controls are designed and operating effectively as our business/operational strategies evolve.

You'll sweep us off your feet if:

  • You have proven experience in integrating new businesses and/or standing up new businesses from a Controllership standpoint.
  • Managed large-scale projects across multiple businesses with various partners.
  • You have proven experience reporting in compliance with SEC guidelines and US GAAP.
  • You have knowledge of how high-level accounting impacts business decisions.
  • You have marketing, retail, or revenue accounting experience.
  • You are comfortable talking to a wide variety of business partners and are an expert at influencing.
  • You have demonstrated proficiency working cross-functionally.
  • You have demonstrated excellent ability to interface with and influence senior executives.
  • You are an expert at making complex subjects easily understood.
  • You are stimulated by challenges and are ready to engage at Fortune 1 scale.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 5 years' experience in finance, accounting, or related area OR 7 years' experience in finance, accounting, or related area.
2 years' supervisory experience.
