Overview
The Carrier Partnerships Manager (LATAM) is an individual contributor role responsible for building, managing, and optimizing Vonage’s strategic supplier portfolio across the LATAM region.
This role is accountable for the commercial and strategic foundation of our connectivity, ensuring Vonage secures competitive pricing, high-quality routes, and resilient coverage for SMS, RCS, and Numbers. The Carrier Partnerships Manager will also be responsible for sourcing Network APIs (e.g., Silent Authentication, SIM Swap) in the region, acting as a key partner to Product and Sales to enable our go-to-market strategy.
This role requires a foundational understanding of the regional telecom ecosystem, solid commercial acumen, and the ability to translate industry insights into an actionable strategy.
Key Responsibilities

Regional Sourcing Strategy: Assist in creating, maintaining, and executing the supplier sourcing plan for the LATAM region to deliver on coverage, quality, and cost targets. Monitor regional performance and margins and identify areas for improvement and opportunities for expansion.

Commercial & Contract Management: Lead commercial negotiations with partners who support Vonage’s SMS, RCS, and Network API services, ensuring favorable terms and pricing.

Market Intelligence: Serve as a subject matter expert for the LATAM region, gaining insight into local regulatory changes, competitive threats, and supplier dynamics and translating them into actionable insights for Sales, Product, and Operations. Represent Vonage at industry events and engagements with CSPs and MNOs.

Operational Alignment: Partner with internal teams (Identity & Numbering, Technical Routing, Trust &Safety) to ensure new supplier agreements are operationally sound and that any regulatory requirements are clearly understood and implemented.
Qualifications

Experience: 1-2+ years in Carrier Partnerships or a similar procurement role. Recommended to have direct experience in the LATAM region's SMS or RCS ecosystems.

Commercial Acumen: A track record of leading commercial and contract negotiations.

Technical Familiarity: Beneficial to have an understanding of the CPaaS ecosystem, A2P messaging standards, and emerging API-based services.

Strategic Mindset: Ability to translate market-level trends into a sourcing strategy and business case.

Cross-Functional Influence: Proven ability to partner with and influence stakeholders across Sales, Product, and Legal.

Language: Fluent in English & Spanish, Portuguese optional
