Job Description:

The Symantec™ Email Security.cloud is a cloud-based service that protects both cloud-based email platforms (e.g., Office 365, Google Workspace) and on-premise systems (e.g., Microsoft Exchange). Utilizing a multilayered defense, it blocks advanced threats such as ransomware, spear phishing, and BEC.

This comprehensive email security solution delivers malware and span defense, email threat isolation, connection level protection, link scanning and mapping, impersonation controls, and data privacy compliance.

We're looking for a Principal Software Engineer with excellent technical and communication skills who will be part of our R&D team based in Pune, India.

Required Technical Skills:

• 14+ years professional experience in designing, architecture and development of enterprise scale software solutions and delivery

• BE/BTech./MS in Computer Science from a reputed institution

• The candidate must have exceptional hands-on coding skills in C++ and/or JAVA/J2EE (Core Java, Design Patterns), AngularJS & related technologies. Strong knowledge of Data structures and Algorithms.

• Hands-on understanding and experience with GCP, GKE, queueing systems like KAFKA and Elastic Search

• Strong experience of large scale complex SAAS hosting environments and deployments

• Must have understanding & good coding ability in any relational DB like Microsoft SQL and/or Postgres etc.

• Knowledge and experience with Email Systems/MTAs and Email Protocols would be preferred

• Exposure to GenAI and Gemini integrations would be preferred

• Ability to produce clean code with good unit test coverage and knowledge of test automation frameworks

• Good hands-on experience with Web Services, REST, XML

• Strong OS fundamentals and understanding of Linux operating system

• Should have used any version control system like GIT or Perforce

• Must possess excellent communication skills and capable of communicating with cross-functional teams, global stakeholders and customers

• Excellent team player with a Team First attitude, highly motivated and collaborative
