The Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME) provides operational ownership and execution leadership for complex, high‑risk Payments and SWIFT initiatives. The role operates across Product, Engineering, Vendors, and Operations, ensuring regulatory‑compliant, controlled, and operationally ready delivery of change impacting Payments and Treasury Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Payments & SWIFT Domain Ownership:

  • Act as the Payments and SWIFT SME for assigned initiatives
  • Own end‑to‑end understanding of SWIFT payment flows and lifecycle

Operational Change Ownership:

  • Own the operational change workstream end‑to‑end
  • Serve as primary operational point of contact for cross‑functional delivery

Operational Improvements & Efficiency:

  • Identify and own operational inefficiencies within scope

Delivery Discipline & Execution Leadership:

  • Define scope, ownership, and delivery accountability
  • Establish RACI, manage dependencies, and track risks

Documentation, Readiness & BAU Handover:

  • Own quality of operational documentation and readiness artifacts
  • Define operational requirements and acceptance criteria

Risk, Compliance & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Identify, document, and communicate operational risks
  • Support mitigation planning with Operations leadership

  • Ability to understand complex operations and flows.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Skills & Experience:

  • Batchelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience in operations within financial services, preferably with focus on payment systems, SWIFT, collections, safeguarding and FX transactions.
  • Experienced working with project / agile delivery teams and cross functional ways of working.
  • Technical understanding of SWIFT networks and ability to read and understand messaging types.
  • Demonstrate analytical and systematic approach to problem solving.
  • Hands on exposure to SWIFT networks and messaging.
