Job Description

Visa Alias Directory offers capabilities for clients to link Aliases, such as mobile numbers or email addresses, to payment credentials such as cards or bank accounts. This helps simplify payments, improve the user experience, and protect sensitive payment credential information.

The Product Manager is a business-oriented role focused on ensuring the smooth launch of new product features while maintaining the high standards of existing products. You will drive product feature launches through monitoring, communications, and technical specifications, and implement performance requirements, enforcement programs, and operational processes.

As a Product Manager in the Visa Alias Directory team, you’ll partner closely with engineering, architecture, product teams, and regional client‑facing groups to shape and execute the future of Alias Directory. You’ll develop a deep understanding of our platform and the competitive landscape, helping define the next generation of alias‑based payment experiences. Your work will focus on solving real customer problems, delivering innovative solutions, and driving global adoption of Alias Directory. This role is perfect for someone who blends strategic vision with hands‑on execution and is motivated by creating meaningful impact for clients and end users.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Product Vision and Strategy: Partner with business and technology teams globally to develop and refine the vision and strategy to support partners' portfolios and create platform applications, including identifying new product opportunities, features, and enhancements based on market trends, competitive analysis, and regulatory changes.

  • Product Development: Lead the development team, coordinating with architecture, engineering, cross-functional products, and regional client-facing teams. Oversee the launch of new product features and ensure the maintenance of high standards for existing products.

  • Product Release Management: Oversee product feature launches, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and performance requirements. Guide the team in implementing and enhancing release processes

  • Performance Tracking and Optimization: Monitor product performance against key metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to drive sales, growth, and customer satisfaction.

  • Team Collaboration: Work with a cross-functional team of product managers, program managers, and engineers, fostering a mindset of innovation, excellence, and accountability.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication with stakeholders across the organization to keep them informed of progress and gather their input.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD

7 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Strong technical skills and ability to translate customer needs into product requirements.

Strong communication skills and ability to speak to all levels of the organization.

Solid execution and delivery skills.

Ability to prioritize and solve complex problems to develop industry-leading solutions.

Ability to resolve conflicting situations.

Proven experience in product management, particularly in launching and maintaining product features.

Technical experience with APIs preferred.

Strategic thinker with superior analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience leading development teams and working with cross-functional and client-facing teams.

Experience working in global organizations, collaborating with stakeholders, partners, and teams worldwide to drive regional and global product launch.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is $131,600.00 to 210,300.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
