Visa is looking for Dev Sec Ops Engineers who will help build Open Visa Net, Visa's Next generation payment processing platform developed on Open Systems, that will fuel growth in electronic payments globally and drive financial inclusion in many parts of the world.

Open Visa Net, the Next Generation Visa Net, will push the envelope of building highly scalable, secure, cost effective and distributed application on commodity hardware using best-in-class technology components. Open Visa Net is one of Visa's Key initiatives, building Open Visa Net will involve collaboration with exceptional group of software engineers, security specialists, Dev Sec Ops engineers, payment experts and infrastructure architects.

Essential Functions:

• Develop automation tools and framework for validating highly available, fault tolerant, scalable, low latency, distributed payments transaction processing systems
• Design, implement and evolve highly scalable and fault-tolerant distributed components using functional programming paradigm
• Contribute to efficient development process pipeline by leveraging best-in-class CI/CD tools
• Contribute to security analysis, including code and data flow review using tools such as Checkmarx and Sonarqube. Collaborate with security team to implement and verify secure coding techniques.
• Collaborate with the multiple teams across Development, Operations & Infrastructure, and Product to analyze and debug issues related to build, deployment, and infrastructure.
• Support cross-functional teams in integrated test efforts.
• Ensuring proper documentation and internal publishing of design tradeoffs, code best practices and lessons learned.
• Support in triaging and troubleshooting of highly distributed services in the production environment.
• Collaborate in efforts to maintain the stability and high availability of lower environments.

Daily exposure to & use of top end AI tools such as claude code, cline, copilot, crewai, internal mcp hubs, all with latest models;

Working with Kubernetes, Jenkins,Python/Bash / Golang, Containers, Kafka, NoSQL DBS, Grafana, Checkmarx and other security tools, Github.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Electronics/ Electrical Engineering or a related STEM/technical discipline.

• Work using good communication skills, able to contribute to team discussions effectively.
• Are passionate about helping teams be successful and have a support mindset
• Have a passion for Software Engineering involving experience with at least one object-oriented language in an academic, personal, or professional context.
• Have an interest in learning the Dev Sec Ops skillset in a fast paced environment
• Possess a positive attitude, friendly to others, encouraging of co-operation, honesty, and respectfulness in the workplace.
• Are willing to develop payments industry knowledge and understanding to enhance solution quality.
• Default to a collaborative mindset, with an ability to empathise with colleagues and establish relationships.
