Job Description

Visa's Cybersecurity team is looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer who will be responsible for design, development, and execution of large-scale Cybersecurity initiatives. Extensive Python and web service development experience and team leadership skills are a must. In this position, you are a passionate and talented cybersecurity professional with problem-solving abilities and coding/testing/debugging skills who can work in a dynamic environment.

Essential Functions:

• Develop innovative solutions to protect the Visa brand, networks, assets and products by implementing state-the-art detection, prevention, and response capabilities.
• Engage in technical design of solutions based on use cases and business requirements.
• Participate in proof of concepts and other technical evaluations of technologies, designs and solutions.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and proactively assess and evaluate the adoption thereof into the organization.
• Demonstrate technical mastery and be an inspirational leader and mentor who continuously develops the competencies of him/herself and others.
• Reduce time-to-detect and time-to-remediate by driving the automation of applied threat intelligence and sensor enrichment.
• Develop and expand API framework to interconnect Security Tools.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree in computer
science or cyber security, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience. Masters
graduates must have 2+ years of relevant work experience to qualify.

Preferred Qualifications:

3 or more years of work experience in public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure etc)
with a Bachelor’s Degree in Cyber Security or computer science or more than 2
years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD,
MD)
Strong experience with Python or Terraform, extensive automation experience, and exposure to AI technologies.
Strong Domain exposure of Cloud Security AWS or GCP, or Azure. Vendor
certification in 1 or more of platforms is a must. Engineering and supporting
security controls in the cloud.
Hands on usage of CSPM and CNAAP tools and process development to
ensure addressing vulnerabilities in a timely manner. Experience with
continuous compliance in cloud.
Knowledge and hands on experience with infrastructure as code, terraform,
CICD.
Knowledge of multiple security domains like Cloud FW, Security Groups, DDOS,
Network Proxy, Cloud SIEM like Sumo logic etc.
Strong leadership and communication skills proficiency with Linux (or similar)
operating systems, strong Python skills, in depth understanding of Internet
protocols.
