The Account Executive (Manager) is responsible for managing and growing a complex, multi‑country strategic client relationship. This role owns day‑to‑day account management, supports the execution of regional initiatives, and serves as a key point of coordination between the client and internal Visa teams.
The Account Executive will support the development and execution of joint business plans, contribute to the growth of payment volumes and digital usage, and ensure consistent delivery of Visa solutions across markets in alignment with commercial agreements and business priorities.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage the day‑to‑day relationship with a strategic regional client, serving as a primary point of contact for ongoing engagement and execution.
- Support the development and execution of joint business plans to drive growth in payment volumes, transaction frequency, and product adoption.
- Coordinate the execution of acceptance initiatives across in‑store, e‑commerce, and omnichannel environments in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Support co‑brand card programs in partnership with issuing banks, including acquisition, activation, and portfolio performance initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to introduce and support Visa Value‑Added Services, marketing programs, and digital solutions aligned to client needs.
- Coordinate cross‑functional Visa teams (Sales, Consulting, Product, Marketing, Operations, Risk, and Finance) to support effective execution and issue resolution.
- Track progress against commercial agreements, incentives, and contractual commitments, escalating risks and issues as needed.
- Prepare performance updates, insights, and recommendations for internal stakeholders and client discussions.
- Support regional alignment by ensuring consistency of execution across markets while considering local market requirements and regulatory considerations.
This role operates within a matrixed, regional sales organization and requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders across multiple functions and geographies. The Account Executive (Manager) is expected to manage execution with a high degree of autonomy while aligning priorities and decisions with senior account leadership.
The role requires the ability to balance regional consistency with local market needs, ensuring initiatives are executed effectively across countries while adhering to regulatory, operational, and contractual requirements.
The Account Executive will be expected to maintain accurate account documentation, including account plans, opportunity tracking, and performance reporting, using Visa’s internal systems and tools. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, proactive communication, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in account management, sales, consulting, or partnership management within payments, financial services, retail, or consumer‑focused industries.
- Proven experience managing complex client relationships with regional or multi‑country scope.
- Strong understanding of payment ecosystems, including acceptance, digital payments, and card‑based solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute joint business plans aligned to client objectives and commercial targets.
- Experience coordinating cross‑functional teams within a matrixed organization.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data and insights into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior‑level counterparts.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast‑paced, results‑oriented environment.
- Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
