Job Description
We are seeking a Marketing Services Manager to lead the development and execution of marketing objectives, strategies, and programs for Visa in Mexico. This role plays a pivotal part in partnering with clients to achieve both Visa’s and our clients’ business and brand goals.
In this position, you will be responsible for designing and implementing marketing strategies and campaigns, managing investment forecasts, measuring ROI, conducting data and insights analyses to guide decision-making, overseeing creative development and media planning, and influencing stakeholders with strong persuasion skills and executive presence for our most important clients. Essential Functions:
- Identify marketing opportunities with multiple audiences and develop co-marketing strategies and programs to drive increased Visa business.
- Oversee all aspects of marketing plans, including promotions, events, marketing communications, sponsorships and partnerships, digital marketing, and sales support.
- Identify continuous, actionable consumer insights and opportunities through consumer understanding programs and tools, trend monitoring, and data analysis.
- Participate in sales pitch presentations and develop marketing plans to support new business deals.
- Build and enhance partnerships across the organization — including Sales, Product, Merchant Solutions, Finance, Operations Support, and Legal — to ensure effective implementation of marketing strategies and plans.
- Reimagine the use of Visa’s key sponsorships and assets, including events and partnerships to maximize their impact.
- Define the social media marketing strategy, applying creativity and expertise to find innovative ways to capitalize on social, digital, and mobile channels.
- Lead media and creative agency management, including developing briefs, managing Statements of Work, and overseeing agency budgets.
- Work independently with limited direction in a complex and often ambiguous environment, delivering rigorous, fact-based recommendations to clients, executives, functional, and regional management, while ensuring alignment with stakeholders across the organization.
- Be innovative and curious, consistently seeking ways to improve processes, drive success, share achievements, and learn from challenges.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD- 10 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 8+ years with an advanced degree (e.g., Master’s, MBA, JD, MD), or 6+ years with a PhD.
- Proven experience in marketing communications, media, and/or trade marketing within a multinational company and with international brands.
- Demonstrated ability to develop marketing strategies and communications aligned to business objectives, and to execute programs that deliver measurable business and brand results.
- Experience managing, motivating, and collaborating with external advertising, promotional, and media agency partners.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and strategies with impact.
- Strong financial acumen with experience using performance indicators to measure results, calculate ROI, forecast costs, revenues, and risks, and summarize complex business data for planning and decision-making.
- Advanced planning and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail, while maintaining the ability to see and communicate the broader strategic picture.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex challenges into manageable parts and identify the data and inputs required to solve them.
- Commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement, with an open and adaptable mindset toward problem-solving.
- Proven ability to influence and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders, including senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Experience structuring, managing, and coordinating complex projects involving multiple stakeholders at various levels.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, initiative-driven approach to achieving results.
