The strategy and best practices from this functional leader will be critical to build a best-in-class B2B sales organization.

The AI Engineer is a new, foundational role that will design, operationalize, and maintain the AI productivity stack powering Digital Sales’ next phase of scale.

What an AI Engineer, Digital Sales does at Visa:

The AI Engineer will be the technical owner of the AI agents, workflow automations, and generative tools that enhance seller productivity across AP and across all the supporting functions executing under the Tier 3 segment. This role will architect and deploy AI driven capabilities that reduce manual work, improve speed to client, surface insights at scale, and strengthen the digital first GTM engine driven capabilities that reduce manual work, improve speed-to-client, surface insights at scale, and strengthen the digital-first GTM engine.

This is a new capability that we bringing as part of our digital operating model roll out and will be in close alignment with the respecting business teams under the Digital Sales Organisation.

The key strategic mandate for the AI Engineer will be to sustain a high velocity, digital led selling model in AP, responsible for monitoring of tools and agentic workforce adoption, reporting ongoing impact in productivity, velocity, volume and capacity for each resource under the Digital Sales organization, and linking technology and AI Agents to cost efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Build & Maintain AI Agents for Digital Sales Org Productivity
  • Design, develop, and deploy AI agents that support Digital Sales DSRs, BDRs, Market Development, and cross functional teams.
  • Integrate AI tools with Visa systems (Dynamics, Customer 360, Compass/Highspot, Client Hub, VIK Central, etc.).
  • Create client ready content generation capabilities (briefs, insights packs, outreach messages, summaries).
  • Collect business requirements based on engagement models from sales and supporting teams, and establish a strategy to deliver on these requirements as part of the role mandate.

Automate Sales & Operational Workflows:

  • Identify high impact, repeatable workflows across Digital Sales and automate them using AI, orchestration platforms, or code based solutions
  • Build data driven pipelines to surface insights (signals, personas, recommended plays, next best actions).
  • Scale internal tooling that accelerates lead routing, account research, outreach sequencing, performance reporting, and opportunity qualification, deal progression and business rhythm.

Establish AI Technical Standards & Governance:

  • Develop best practices, reusable components, and governance frameworks for AI powered sales motions.
  • Ensure responsible AI implementation aligned with Visa’s enterprise grade security, privacy, and risk frameworks.
  • Manage documentation, code repositories, model lifecycle processes, and operational playbooks.

  • Collaborate closely with Product, DS COE, Technology, Operations, Data Science, and Risk partners to ensure secure and compliant delivery.
  • Act as technical SME for regional stakeholders on AI workflows, integrations, and performance improvements. Work in partnership with Sales Excellence and AI Champion Community to maximize new solutions that other teams might be implementing.
  • Drive alignment on architecture, prioritization, and roadmap evolution for Digital Sales’ AI stack.
  1. Continuity, Maintenance & Evolution of AI Tools
  • Own monitoring, troubleshooting, optimization, and model/tool updates.
  • Implement continuous improvement cycles based on user feedback, usage patterns, and performance metrics.
  • Establish and leverage existing dashboard for agentic workforce utilization, tooling adoption, and performance improvement attainment based on utilization by the teams
  • Ensure seamless handover, scaling, and sustainability of tools deployed across AP.

Additional Information:

  • Working location: This role is required to be onsite in the Singapore office five days a week

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience building AI/ML solutions, automation workflows, or intelligent applications.
  • Proficiency in Python, API integrations, LLM orchestration frameworks, and cloud deployment (Azure preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience developing AI agents, GPT style applications, or workflow automation systems, style applications, or workflow automation systems.
  • Strong understanding of data pipelines, embedding models, vector databases, prompt engineering, and model evaluation.
  • Experience working in secure environments with strict compliance and governance constraints.
  • Technical excellence: Strong engineering discipline and familiarity with modern AI tooling.
  • Business orientation: Ability to build solutions that unlock seller productivity and commercial impact.
  • Systems thinking: Understand complex workflows, dependencies, and data flows across sales ecosystems.
  • Change leadership: Comfortable introducing new tools, educating users, and driving adoption.
  • Bias for action: Ability to operate autonomously, prioritize effectively, and deliver in a fast-paced environment

What will also help:

  • Experience supporting sales, commercial, or go to market teams.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Dynamics 365), sales enablement platforms, and B2B buyer journeys.
  • Experience with monitoring, observability, and lifecycle management of AI systems.
  • Ability to translate business challenges into scalable technical solutions.
  • Background in high growth, digital first environments.
