Job Description

The Visa Direct Ecosystem Programs & Performance Director is a leader responsible for driving strategic planning, operational excellence, and cross‑functional execution across the global Visa Direct Ecosystem. This role partners closely with Visa Direct product, Commercialization, Risk, Compliance and regional leadership to define priorities, manage performance, lead ecosystem‑wide initiatives, and strengthen operating models. The ideal candidate brings deep analytical rigor, strong operational discipline, and the ability to influence across a complex, global payments organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning

  • Lead the development and execution of the Visa Direct Ecosystem strategic roadmap, ensuring alignment with global product, ecosystem, and commercial objectives.
  • Translate Visa Direct’s growth priorities into actionable plans, operational frameworks, and scalable execution models.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to leadership based on competitive, regulatory, and ecosystem insights.

Operational Excellence & Ecosystem Performance Management

  • Design and manage ecosystem KPIs, health metrics, scorecards, and reporting structures to track performance across send/receive endpoints, partners, and markets.
  • Identify ecosystem gaps (operational, regulatory, technical) and drive initiatives to increase efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts across processes, tools, partner operations, and cross‑functional workflows.

Cross‑Functional Execution

  • Drive cross‑functional coordination and execution of ecosystem-wide initiatives across Product, Commercialization, Client Services, Engineering, Risk, Compliance, and regional teams.
  • Ensure alignment and accountability across teams for key ecosystem priorities, launches, and strategic programs.
  • Act as a central leader enabling end‑to‑end execution of ecosystem expansion, partner optimization, and global readiness efforts.

Program & Initiative Leadership:

  • Manage large-scale strategic ecosystem programs from inception through implementation, including scope, timelines, risks, and outcomes.
  • Resolve cross-functional issues, escalate blockers, and ensure ecosystem‑wide visibility into progress.
  • Evaluate program impact and drive continuous improvement based on performance data and partner feedback.

Business Insights & Executive Reporting:

  • Conduct ecosystem performance analysis, identify trends, and develop insights that inform strategy and investment decisions.
  • Build executive‑ready presentations to communicate priorities, risks, and program outcomes.
  • Support annual and quarterly planning cycles, including financial alignment and resource prioritization for ecosystem initiatives.

Culture, Engagement & Communications

  • Lead client and partner engagement surveys and action plans to improve ecosystem experience.
  • Develop and distribute ecosystem communications—including newsletters, updates, and leadership briefings—to drive alignment and transparency.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is 145,100 to 232,200 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
