Job Description
Visa Government Solutions (VGS) partners with governments to modernise payments and digital services, making them more efficient, inclusive, and secure. Our mission is to help governments deliver citizen-centric solutions that are trusted, accessible, and future-proof.
As a Pre-Sales Solution Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering next-generation solutions. As part of our global team, you will support all global growth initiatives, working hands-on with governments, clients, partners, and internal teams to turn complex requirements into simple, scalable, and impactful payment solutions.
What You’ll Do:
Human-Centred Solution Design:
- Apply design-thinking and agile methodologies to co-create solutions with government clients, focusing on desirability (what citizens want and need), viability (what delivers value and is sustainable for governments), and feasibility (what can be built and scaled securely).
- Lead discovery and co-creation workshops to understand user journeys, citizen and government employee pain points, and opportunities for digital transformation.
- Work closely with Visa Product Design to prototype and iterate solutions, validating with real users and stakeholders to ensure every feature is intuitive, accessible, and inclusive.
- Design layered solutions that integrate the full range of Visa products and services within existing and new government capabilities.
- Ensure solutions are secure, inclusive, and interoperable, supporting financial inclusion and universal access.
- Demonstrate technical and commercial proficiency in key Visa payments products, platforms and services.
Collaboration & Influence:
- Work closely with Visa sales, product, design, technology, and advisory teams to shape solutions, proposals, roadmaps, and go-to-market strategies.
- Collaborate with client product, design and technology teams across governments and their private sector partners.
- Liaise with government, legal, risk, and privacy stakeholders to ensure solutions meet regulatory, compliance, and security requirements.
- Influence product development and prioritisation, advocating for features that deliver measurable citizen and government outcomes.
- Ensure seamless handover to client success management teams as solutions move from pre-sales to implementation.
Thought Leadership:
- Champion the principles of desirability, viability, and feasibility in every solution, balancing citizen expectations, government mandates, and technical realities.
- Stay current on global trends in digital identity, payments, GenAI, and citizen experience, bringing best practices and innovation to every engagement.
- Contribute to Visa’s vision for secure, inclusive, and future-ready digital infrastructure.
What Success Looks Like:
- Solutions are designed from the citizen’s and government employee’s perspectives, delivering personalisation, ease, and trust.
- Governments achieve measurable improvements in efficiency, inclusion, and transparency.
- Citizen Wallets become essential, daily-use platforms that uplift everyone, everywhere.
Diversity & Inclusion:
Visa is committed to fostering an inclusive workplace, supporting diversity of thought, culture, and background, and promoting equal opportunities for all employees.
Ready to help shape the future of citizen-centric digital government? We’d love to hear from you.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
