The Consultant, Technical Solutions role serves as a senior technical and strategic liaison for Visa/Cyber Source Strategic Technical Partners. This role manages a portfolio of high‑value, complex partner relationships and is accountable for driving end‑to‑end solution success across integration, optimization, and ongoing operational support.

The Consultant partners with executive, business, and technical stakeholders at strategic partners to design, implement, and evolve comprehensive, enterprise‑grade payment integrations and support models. This individual plays a critical advisory role in aligning partner technical capabilities and business objectives with Cyber Source's product strategy, ensuring scalable, resilient, and high‑performing integrations across a shared merchant base.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as primary technical point of contact for high value Visa/Cyber Source technical partners, addressing any technical, process, and service challenges or questions that may arise.
  • Own the technical relationship with assigned partners, ensuring partner solutions are architected, implemented, and maintained in alignment with Cyber Source best practices and product strategy.
  • Ensure that new and supplemental Cyber Source partner solution integration projects are properly understood and implemented by partner resources.
  • Provide consultative guidance on partner and merchant onboarding, integration, implementation, migration, and ongoing support processes across Cyber Source products and services.
  • Manage escalations against Cyber Source platform and product issues with the partner until resolved.
  • Work collaboratively with the designated account teams to ensure that excellent client service delivery is offered consistently through consultation, trainings, and continual communications.
  • Advocate product enhancement requests within Cyber Source/Visa cross-functional teams.
  • Lead in proposing functional and process improvements to internal and external parties, coordinating multiple departments and functions in their effort to deliver Cyber Source products.
  • Maintain Subject Matter Expertise level knowledge of Cyber Source integrations, products, and services through supplemental training and self-managed education.
  • Drive knowledge sharing by contributing to documentation, best practices, playbooks, and internal forums to elevate overall team capability and consistency.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree
  • Payment industry experience is strongly preferred, including card-not-present, card present, PCI, and payment risk mitigation methodology experiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop relationships across different levels of the organization.
  • Ability to articulate complex topics to variable audiences is required.
  • Experience troubleshooting technical issues and delivering effective solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, detail oriented and committed to a high degree of accuracy.
  • Preferred experience in client-facing or technical support roles.
  • Programming experience with web-based (PHP, Python, .NET, JavaScript) or mobile (iOS, Android) technologies, and experience with REST, JSON, SOAP, XML, and tools such as Postman.
  • Understanding of Web Security, TLS, HTTPS, and hash algorithms.
  • Familiarity with PCI DSS compliance.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork abilities with cross-functional collaboration skills.

Visa is looking to fill vacant position Consultant, Technical Solutions. The anticipated compensation range for this position is 118,250 CAD to 168,250  CAD per year, which includes sales incentive payments/annual bonus. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position is eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, Employee Stock Purchase Program, Life Insurance, Paid Vacation and Wellness Programs.  Visa may use artificial intelligence when assessing and selecting candidates.
